In order to carry out the "Work Safety Month" activities in the construction engineering field, actively implement the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's management requirements for hazardous major projects, and effectively prevent and curb the occurrence of mass-casualty accidents in deep foundation pit construction, on June 30, our city conducted an emergency rescue drill for a deep foundation pit collapse accident at the construction site of the Hanzhong Underground Utility Tunnel on Hanning Road. The Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau was invited to provide on-site guidance. Yang Qinghui, Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Construction and Planning Bureau, Deputy Director Zhao Jun, and others attended the event.
At the event site, medical staff from Hanzhong Central Hospital first demonstrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation and artificial respiration. Then, an emergency rescue drill was simulated at the construction site for an accident in which a deep foundation pit collapse buried one person and injured another person's leg.
The entire drill was organized in an orderly manner with close coordination, receiving unanimous praise from the attending leaders. It provided a good learning opportunity for the participants and effectively improved the construction personnel's safety knowledge of "I want safety, I understand safety" and their safety prevention skills of "I can be safe."
This drill was hosted by the Hanzhong Municipal Urban and Rural Construction Planning Bureau and undertaken by the Fourth Engineering Company and Fifth Engineering Company of CCCC. Relevant departments of the Municipal Construction and Planning Bureau, the main responsible persons of the Municipal Quality Supervision Station and all personnel of its Safety Section, the Hanzhong Underground Utility Tunnel Project Office and Project Company, the main leaders of CCCC Fourth Highway Engineering Bureau, the Fifth Engineering Company, and the Investment Business Division, as well as relevant personnel from surrounding construction site construction enterprises and supervision enterprises, totaling nearly 200 people, observed the event.
