On June 14, construction workers were working inside the integrated compartment of the Kunming Road underground utility tunnel.
Recently, the Kunming Road underground utility tunnel, part of the Xi'an utility tunnel PPP project, completed its main construction and reached the conditions for water supply. The Kunming Road underground utility tunnel has a total length of 3.74 kilometers, a width of 12 meters and a height of 10.9 meters. It adopts a double-layer, five-compartment structure: the upper layer contains two rainwater compartments, and the lower layer contains an integrated compartment, a power compartment and a gas compartment. Once completed, all pipelines for water supply, reclaimed water, electrical wires and optical cables will be placed in the tunnel for “intelligent” monitoring and management.
