　　On June 8, at the China-Kazakhstan Eurasia cross-border transport video link ceremony held at the China Pavilion, President Xi Jinping and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev jointly pushed the control lever, and the video showed four trains departing with whistles at two sub-venues: the China-Kazakhstan Lianyungang Logistics Cooperation Base and the Khorgos-Eastern Gate Special Economic Zone dry port.

　　When Xi Jinping and Nazarbayev arrived at the outer hall of the China Pavilion, artists from various ethnic groups in China performed the welcoming song and dance "Song and Smile" to warmly welcome the two heads of state.
　　Xi Jinping and Nazarbayev entered the China Pavilion and stopped to watch a clip of "Belt and Road: A Road of Grandeur." The two heads of state jointly visited the Energy Corridor exhibition area, the "A Day of Smart Energy" exhibition area, the Future Energy Dream Theater, and the Global Mission and Partners exhibition area. In the "A Day of Smart Energy" exhibition area, the slogan "Warmly Welcome President Xi Jinping and President Nazarbayev to Experience China High-Speed Rail Simulated Driving" was particularly eye-catching on the large screen of the China high-speed rail simulated driving. Xi Jinping invited Nazarbayev to experience the high-speed rail simulated driving. He Huawu, Chief Engineer of China Railway Corporation, introduced and demonstrated it. Nazarbayev, with great interest, sat in the simulated driving cabin, slowly pushed the control lever, and experienced the "Xi'an-Astana" high-speed rail journey.

The video showed the train operations, transshipment, and marshalling scenes at the two locations. Relevant officials from the two countries reported on the situation. Lu Dongfu, General Manager of China Railway Corporation, reported to the two heads of state: The international trains from Lianyungang to Almaty, Kazakhstan, and from Lianyungang to Istanbul, Turkey, organized and operated by China Railway Corporation, are ready and request permission to depart!

The two sides are actively implementing the "Plan for Cooperation between the Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 'Bright Road' New Economic Policy." Kazakhstan has transformed from a traditional landlocked country into a key transport hub on the Eurasian continent, playing an increasingly important role in the East-West trade chain. The continuous deepening of China-Kazakhstan cross-border transport cooperation will contribute more to regional development and prosperity. It is hoped that both sides will continue to work together to build the new Eurasian land-sea transport corridor linking Lianyungang and Khorgos into a benchmark and demonstration project of the "Belt and Road" cooperation initiative, and jointly build a road of peace, prosperity, openness, innovation, and civilization.
　　In his speech, Nazarbayev thanked President Xi Jinping for attending the opening ceremony of the Astana Expo and thanked China for its strong support and active participation in the expo. He said that the theme of the China Pavilion fully reflects the development concept of the Green Silk Road. The Kazakhstan-China Eurasia cross-border transport cooperation is a successful example of effective alignment between the "Bright Road" new economic policy and the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and will surely bring economic prosperity and happiness to the people of the countries along the route.
