How to Drain Waste Oil from the Swing and Travel Systems of Rotary Drilling Rigs

If waste oil cannot be drained completely, then our entire oil change is meaningless; it will seriously affect the subsequent use of our rotary drilling rigs, so we must take this issue seriously.

Disconnect the right rear oil pipe connector on the swing control valve, operate the swing handle to slowly rotate to the right, then insert the swing lock pin, and when no old oil is discharged, clean the pipe connector and reconnect. Use the same method to drain the old oil from the automatic valve in the left swing pipe.

For the travel system oil drain, lift the left track on one side so that the round surface of the drill bit contacts the ground. After the track is lifted, disconnect the front oil pipe connector on the left travel control valve, depress the left travel pedal to make the left track move slowly forward until old oil is discharged from the pipe connector, then clean the pipe connector and reconnect the previously removed pipe connector. Use the above method to drain the old oil from the right travel pipe.

The steps for changing hydraulic oil in small rotary drilling rigs are indeed somewhat complicated, but this does not mean we have to change it every day or after every job; it has a long cycle. For better use of small rotary drilling rigs in future construction, this work is still very important, which requires us to do every step well during replacement, such as the issue of draining waste oil from the swing and travel systems we discussed today.
