The Yangda Railway Project Department of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has fully leveraged its professional technical and mechanized construction advantages, adopting a method of dividing work zones and operation faces to make every effort to advance the construction of all works in Section 4 of the Yangda Railway.
Section 4 of the Yangda Railway is 9.14 kilometers long in total and includes construction works such as the Sanjiao Grand Bridge, the Weibo Grand Bridge, the Houwa Bridge, the Yangshugou Tunnel and the Beiliang Tunnel, with a total investment of 283 million yuan. After winning the contract in October last year, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group immediately launched various preparatory tasks and, in the shortest possible time, rapidly mobilized more than 200 professional technical and management personnel and equipped more than 200 sets of fine equipment to form a project department that entered the construction section and fully began construction preparation. They scientifically formulated construction plans, divided the more than 200 professional technical personnel and more than 1,000 builders into 3 work zones and 9 operation faces, and fully launched project construction in February this year. During construction, the project department carried out scientific and rigorous scheduling; the 3 work zones and 9 operation faces worked both separately and jointly in mutual cooperation, going all out to advance the project. After nearly 8 months of intensive construction, as of now the project department has completed a cumulative investment of 90 million yuan.
The key controlling project, the 1,580-meter-long Yangshugou Tunnel, features complex geological conditions, great construction difficulty, high risk and a tight schedule. The project department divided the tunnel into two operation faces, the entrance and the exit, and carried out tunnel excavation and concrete pouring toward each other from both ends. Among them, the entrance section advanced relatively quickly and has now completed 60% of the total task.
At the operation faces of the key controlling projects, the Weibo Grand Bridge and the Beiliang Tunnel, the project department, with Party groups as units, actively formed Party member vanguard teams and youth shock teams. By giving play to the exemplary vanguard role of Party members, they led the broad ranks of builders to make the Yangda Railway a demonstration of the "Two Studies and One Action" campaign, of railway-local joint development, of clean government building and of quality engineering.
At the same time, works in this section such as subgrade filling, cutting excavation and culvert frame segment pouring have also been fully launched and are advancing in an orderly manner, so as to ensure that the entire section can be completed smoothly and on schedule.
