The excavator filter element is an indispensable component of loading equipment with a long history, having been used since 1877
in the open-pit mining industry. Through more than a century of research and improvement, major advances have been made in power
source methods, mechanical structures of various parts, and control and operation. However,
in terms of basic structure and working characteristics, it still retains its original basic form. Because
mining excavators have relatively large digging and loading forces as well as stable, reliable, and
significantly productive operation, they remain to this day the most important digging and loading
equipment in open-pit mining.
    Since the late 1950s, in order to meet the needs of large-scale, high-intensity, and high-efficiency
open-pit mining, the excavator manufacturing industry abroad developed rapidly.
Excavator output in the United Kingdom, the former Soviet Union, Japan, and other countries increased by one
fold every 5—10 years. While developing the domestic excavator industry, China also successively introduced various types of large excavators from the United Kingdom, Japan,
Russia, and other countries, applying them to digging and loading operations in major large
open-pit mines in China. According to incomplete statistics from enterprises directly under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the China Nonferrous Metals
Industry Corporation, imported large excavators have been used
in many large open-pit mines, including Anshan Gu'an Xinjian Filter Material Factory, Benxi Filter Manufacturer, and Baotou Iron
and Steel Company.
