1. Concrete grade should preferably be 150–200.
2. For non-prestressed reinforced concrete pile cap beams with tied reinforcement cages, longitudinal reinforcement should not be less than 10, stirrups not less than 6, and for slab-type pile caps, two-way reinforcement should not be less than 8@200.
3. The concrete cover thickness for pile cap reinforcement should generally not be less than 5 cm.
