As pile foundation construction fully unfolds on the Meizhou-Shantou Project of China Railway Sixth Group, the project, in order to ensure pile foundation construction quality, has adopted a "control the source, control the process, control the details" approach and conducted on-site training and guidance on mud "three indicators" testing operations during bored pile construction on the main line of its four comprehensive work teams. This training was mainly aimed at site work team personnel and quality inspection personnel, with the goal of enabling frontline workers to master the key quality points and ensure process quality meets standards.


After the training, site workers conducted mud "three indicators" tests on a pile foundation being drilled with a reverse-circulation rotary drilling rig. Each operating step was performed in accordance with the required standards, and the points for attention during operation were explained. The test results showed a mud specific gravity of 1.13, a sand content of 2%, and a viscosity of 20s, meeting the requirements of the technical regulations for railway bridge bored pile construction. Through on-site practical operation, workers were able to skillfully master the operating essentials and improve quality awareness, promoting process control of pile foundation construction quality. The on-site training achieved good results.
