1. Individual driving method
Method: Starting from one corner of the steel sheet pile wall, drive the piles one by one until the project is completed.
Advantages: Convenient and fast, no auxiliary supports required.
Disadvantages: During driving, the pile bodies tend to tilt, and accumulated errors are difficult to correct.
2. Screen-type driving method
Method: Insert 10–20 steel sheet piles in a row into a guide frame so that they form a screen shape; the pile driver then drives them back and forth, driving both ends to the required depth first, and then driving the middle steel sheet piles in sequence.
Advantages: This construction method can prevent steel sheet piles from accumulating tilt errors, prevent excessive tilting, and make closure easy after construction is completed.
Disadvantages: Construction speed is slow, and a relatively tall construction pile frame must be erected.

3. Guide-frame (waling) driving method
Method: In the guide-frame driving method, single-layer or double-layer waling frames are first built at a certain height above the ground and at a certain distance from the axis; the steel sheet piles are then all inserted into the walings in sequence, and after the four corners are closed and joined, the steel sheet piles are gradually driven one by one to the design elevation in a stepped manner.
Advantages: It can ensure the plan dimensions, verticality, and flatness of the steel sheet pile wall, and is suitable for occasions with high precision requirements and small quantities.
Disadvantages: Construction is complex and slow, and special-shaped piles are required when closing and joining.
