It is reported that Section 13 of the Dayue Expressway has a total length of 2.86 kilometers, located in the reed marshland of the Dongting Lake area within Junshan District, adjacent to the Yangtze River levee in the Yueyang section. The main works include 424 piles, 106 pile caps and pier shafts, 104 spans of cast-in-place box girders, and 11,440 meters of crash barriers, with a contract value of 400 million yuan. The superstructure consists of 55-meter span prestressed continuous box girders constructed using a 900-ton self-weight movable scaffolding system; the use of movable scaffolding for this span is rare in China.

　　Over the past two and a half years since mobilization, all employees of the Dayue project department have united as one, carrying forward the project spirit of “be first to start, lead throughout, and always strive for first place.” In accordance with the company’s refined management requirements, with cost management as the core and process control as the main line, they organized meticulously, acted quickly, and focused on advancing safety, quality, and efficiency simultaneously, achieving good economic and social benefits. Among all participating units in Phase II of the Dayue Expressway, they achieved the “eight firsts”: first to start construction, first pile, first pile cap, first pier shaft, first cast-in-place girder, first to complete pile construction, first to complete pile cap construction, and first to complete pier shaft construction; they also set a domestic record for the fastest construction of a 55-meter movable scaffolding span in 10 days. In 2014 and 2015, they were rated by the owner as an excellent construction enterprise, advanced unit, and safe construction site for two consecutive years, received an “A” rating in the credit evaluation by the Hunan Provincial Department of Transportation for two consecutive years, and Project Manager Liu Ben was named an excellent project manager for two consecutive years. The project department also received honorary titles such as the “Red Flag Project Department” and “Red Flag Party Working Committee” from the bureau for 2015.
