On May 26, amid heavy rain and the sound of loud firecrackers, the underwater concrete pouring for the first pile foundation of the 2# main tower of the Moon Bay Grand Bridge Project was successfully completed, marking the full-scale launch of pile foundation construction for the Moon Bay Bridge.

 The Moon Bay Grand Bridge Project is located approximately 3.5 km west of Daxing Town, Yongshan County, Zhaotong City. The proposed bridge crosses the Jinsha River. The main bridge consists of a 2-50m prestressed T-frame + a 465m double-tower single-span suspension bridge + 7-25m prestressed simply supported T-beams. Substructure construction of the bridge is currently underway. The design pile diameter for the 2# main tower pile foundation is 2.8 meters, and the pile type is a rock-socketed pile, constructed using the percussion drilling process. The first bored pile of the 2# main tower was spudded on May 12, and the hole was completed in 12 days.

 The successful pouring of the first pile foundation of the Moon Bay Bridge has accumulated experience for subsequent pile foundation construction and represents a good start for the bridge substructure construction of the Moon Bay Bridge Project.
