The Pengcheng Square Station undertaken by the XCMG XTC80/55 double-wheel trench cutter is an interchange station between Xuzhou Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 2, and is currently the largest station in Xuzhou Metro. Pengcheng Square Station is located in the commercial center of Xuzhou and needs to be connected to multiple underground shopping malls through underground passages. During construction, damage to the original buildings must be avoided, and the diaphragm wall project of the station is less than 1m away from Suning Plaza at its closest point, and needs to cut into rock of 60MPa at a depth of 20m.
The construction of Pengcheng Square Station has severely affected the surrounding traffic. The Xuzhou Municipal Government has formulated the "5.30" plan, requiring that the diaphragm wall project adjacent to Huaihai Road must be completed before May 30 to restore traffic on Huaihai Road. On the afternoon of May 2, the equipment was debugged. Shortly after construction began, dark clouds gathered, strong winds blew, and heavy rain poured down. The newly debugged equipment did not stop construction because of the rain. The service personnel stood by in the rainy night, fully ensuring the construction progress. At 4 AM, the rain stopped, and the service personnel's shoes were covered in mud.
