The reporter learned from Beijing Rail Transit Construction Management Co., Ltd. that two stations of Subway Line 17 passing through Future Science and Technology City in Changping District have started construction first in the entire line, and will be integrated with surrounding office buildings and shopping malls, allowing passengers to enter and exit nearby buildings without going to the ground.
　　Subway Line 17 has a total length of 49.7 kilometers, starting from Future Science and Technology City North Station in the north and ending at Yizhuang Station Front South Station in the south, running vertically through multiple administrative districts including Changping, Chaoyang, Tongzhou, and Yizhuang, with a total of 20 stations. It is understood that the northern end, including Future Science and Technology City North Station, Future Science and Technology City South Station, and the adjacent three tunnel sections, has taken the lead in starting construction. Both Future Science and Technology City North Station and Future Science and Technology City South Station are underground three-story structures, with an underground pedestrian street for commercial entities, and the second and third underground floors are the ticket hall level for ticket sales and inspection and the platform level for train passage, respectively. In addition, space for connection with surrounding buildings will be reserved around the platforms.
　　According to the previously published environmental impact assessment public notice, Subway Line 17 is not only the longest subway line among the newly started lines, but also one of the lines with more transfer stations, with 10 transfer stations out of 20 stations. Among them, Ciqu Station can transfer to Yizhuang Line, Shilihe Station can transfer to Line 10 and Line 14, Guangqumenwai Station can transfer to Line 7, Yong'anli can transfer to Line 1, Dongdaqiao Station can transfer to Line 6, Taiyanggong Station can transfer to Line 10, Wangjing West Station can transfer to Line 15 and Line 13, and the other 3 transfer stations reserve transfer conditions for planned lines. According to the current plan, Line 17 will be opened in sections, with the northern section from Future Science and Technology City to Wangjing West opened first, and the entire line is expected to be open for operation by 2019.
