CRCC announced that its Shanghai Institute has won the feasibility study contract for the Huaibei-Fuyang/Bengbu high-speed railway project. This is the first intercity railway project led by local investment undertaken by the Shanghai Institute.
The high-speed railway is a key project in Anhui Province's 13th Five-Year Plan and a backbone line of the northern Anhui intercity network. The line starts from Huaibei, passes through Suzhou to Fuyang and Bengbu, with a total length of nearly 300 kilometers, a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and a total investment of nearly RMB 40 billion.
The Anhui railway market is one of the markets in which the Shanghai Institute has made strategic arrangements and focused investment.
