Reinforced soil involves embedding geosynthetics with high tensile strength into the soil layer, utilizing the friction generated by the displacement of soil particles against the reinforcing strips to integrate the soil and reinforcement into a whole, thereby reducing overall deformation and enhancing overall stability. The Guoqiaoshan Reclamation Project in Fuqing, Fujian Province, adopted the installation of plastic drainage boards to accelerate the drainage consolidation of the mud layer and improve foundation strength, and also laid geotextiles within the sand cushion. Due to the tensile action of the geotextiles, the stress distribution of the foundation base was adjusted, and the lateral displacement and settlement of the foundation were correspondingly reduced, greatly improving foundation stability.
