Learned from the Urumqi Rail Transit Project Construction Execution Office: The southern section of Metro Line 1 is accelerating its construction pace, and Beimen Station and Nanmen Station will undergo road closure construction starting March 1. For Line 2, the land acquisition and demolition work for the Bahu Liang parking lot and the Hamashan vehicle comprehensive maintenance base was launched last year, the preliminary design for the entire line has been completed, and Line 2 will enter the full-scale construction phase this year.
On the same day, the reporter saw at the 05 bid section of Metro Line 1 of China Railway No.2 Engineering Group that the north end of Beimen Station, which is enclosed by hoarding, was undergoing cover slab construction, and among the 9 small island tunnels at Xinxing Street Station, 3 have been fully penetrated.
It is understood that the 05 bid section includes two stations, Beimen Station and Xinxing Street Station, as well as the section between Beimen and Xinxing Street. Beimen Station adopts the open-cut method and has a three-story underground structure. Xinxing Street Station adopts the mined method and has a two-story underground structure. The double-track section is 2,400 meters long, and 1,000 meters have been completed so far; the left line of Shaft No.1 and Shaft No.2 has been penetrated. After the enclosure construction, test trenches will be excavated, pipeline relocation will be carried out, and retaining piles will be installed. This year, 30% of the main works are planned to be completed.
The 04 bid section of Metro Line 1 mainly includes Nanmen Station and the tunnel section from Nanmen to Beimen, which is an interchange station for Lines 1 and 2. Due to late entry, the construction unit only installed retaining piles at the top of the original Nanmen underground shopping mall. After the official enclosure on March 1, pipeline exploration and relocation, demolition of structures within the enclosure, and pile foundation construction will be carried out. This year, the entire enclosure structure is planned to be completed, and the entire station is scheduled to be capped by the end of 2017. "Considering the safety of surrounding buildings, the station adopts the cover-and-cut reverse construction method. During construction, we will conduct real-time monitoring of surrounding conditions such as ground settlement, and monitoring data will be fed back daily to ensure construction safety," said Gao Minghe, project manager of the 04 bid section of Metro Line 1 of China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
