In production and practice, Shanghai Jintai found that super-large and super-deep foundation pits are increasing, and traditional methods cannot well solve the safety hazards to deep foundation pits caused by confined aquifers or the high water head uplift of confined aquifers at the pit bottom. After continuous experimentation and improvement, the SMC method and equipment led by Shanghai Jintai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. were submitted and participated in the appraisal meeting on "Research and Engineering Application of Double-Wheel Milling Cement Mixing Wall (SMC) Construction Technology." By the end of 2015, Shanghai Jintai's SMC method equipment had completed mixing wall construction for nearly 30 projects, having withstood tests of complex geological conditions such as clay, fine silty sand, pebbles, and moderately to slightly weathered rock; product models have also expanded to SC35, SC45, SC50, SC60, and others.

The key and difficulty of diaphragm wall engineering is the quality of trenching and trench holes; the verticality of trenching is key to controlling trenching quality.
