On November 3, the Shenwan Hefei Lujiang Power Plant 2×660MW project undertaken by Anhui Electric Power Construction No.1 Company of China Energy Engineering Group officially started construction.

　　The Shenwan Hefei Lujiang Power Plant is wholly invested and constructed by Shenwan Energy Co., Ltd. The plant site is located on the west bank of Meilin Flood Diversion Channel and the south bank of the Xihe River in Longqiao Town, Lujiang County, Hefei City, Anhui Province. The first phase of the project involves the construction of two 660,000-kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired units. Currently, the Lujiang Project Department of Anhui Electric Power Construction No.1 Company has completed all site surface treatment, removal of construction waste, 650,000 cubic meters of backfill earth for the entire plant area, as well as 16 pile foundations for the office building in the front area and the entry of retaining wall masonry materials.
