On October 29, the world's first gravel pile construction platform, for which CCCC Second Harbor Engineering led the development of the technical scheme and participated in construction, was successfully launched at the Jiajiang estuary in Yangzhong City, Jiangsu Province.

Tailor-made for the Ashdod Port project in Israel, the platform is also the first major engineering equipment of Second Harbor Engineering to be used in a developed country overseas. The platform has a length of 50 meters, a width of 42 meters and a molded depth of 5.5 meters, with a moon pool in the middle, and its main hull is a box-type "回"-shaped structure. Four hydraulically driven 55-meter-long legs are arranged at the four corners of the platform; during operation, the hull can be lifted out of the water, and the platform's dedicated gantry crane drives the gravel pile equipment for construction.

To date, 90% of the platform's construction has been completed. This platform will become the world's first self-elevating platform specially used for gravel pile construction. The successful development and manufacture of the platform will greatly enhance Second Harbor Engineering's construction capability in sea areas with medium- and long-period waves and its comprehensive offshore construction strength.
