据英国《每日邮报》5月26日报道，当地时间25日及26日，勇敢的英国民众抓住难得的机会攀爬行走于英国泰恩威尔郡标志性建筑物Sage Gateshead音乐中心的屋顶。在美丽的蓝天下，他们站在音乐中心屋顶的最高处，就能看到纽克斯尔和盖茨黑德周边的壮丽景色。
Sage Gateshead音乐中心位于泰恩河南畔，其高度是纽卡斯尔(Newcastle)标志性建筑物北方天使(the Angel of the North)的两倍，最高处超过了120英尺(约36.6米)。
无与伦比的“漫步屋顶体验”将持续到六月，其中还包括参观由诺尔曼?福斯特先生设计的著名音乐和艺术品会场。音乐中心的屋顶建筑中掺杂了一种特殊的混凝土，这种混凝土提高了音乐厅内的气容量，改善了音响效果。据悉，民众还可以在当地时间6月1日、2日、15日和16日体验攀爬屋顶。
