The Yudai River 110 kV transmission line cable undergrounding and relocation project is being carried out to support Luzhou's urban construction and economic development. The project is highly difficult to construct, with a tight schedule and heavy tasks. Humidity inside the tunnel reaches as high as 78%, and power workers move reels of 110 kV cable, each about 400 meters long and weighing 8 tons, toward the cable trenches for installation.

The entire project requires laying 37,800 meters of cable, involving a total cable tunnel length of 4,350 meters. In the tunnel, the cables are laid in a horizontal (straight-line) arrangement, and sandbags must be placed underneath as support during laying. In the history of cable tunnel construction in Luzhou, the longest tunnel was only a few hundred meters; this 4,350-meter cable tunnel has become the longest cable tunnel in the Luzhou area to date. According to plan, the entire project will be completed by the end of September.
