据了解，埃塞俄比亚ADAMA电场项目是东非地区规模最大的新能源项目，也是外国政府使用中国政府优惠买方信贷规模最大的新能源项目，预计今年6月8日开建，2014年内全面投产发电。合同签署后，三一风机将于6月底陆续发货，整个项目建成后，三一重能将在海外风机装机量上领先国内风电主机厂商。
三一方面透露，目前三一的泵车、挖机等设备在埃塞俄比亚的保有量有100多台，而此次订单则是三一风电设备首次进入埃塞俄比亚市场。
据悉，早在2009年，埃塞俄比亚就启动了几个风电示范项目的招标，2012年其首个50MW风电项目投产。这一项目由中国水电顾问集团总承包建设，按期竣工发电给埃塞俄比亚政府带来了极大的信心，在此背景下，二期风电项目浮出水面。
