Recently, the 2015 National Machinery Industry Brand Strategy Promotion Work Conference, organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, was held in Beijing. Three major products—XCMG-brand truck cranes, road rollers, and excavators—lived up to expectations and were honored with the title of “China Machinery Industry Quality Brand”. Wang Ruixiang, President of the China Machinery Industry Federation; Sha Nansheng, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; and Liu Wandong, Director of the Quality Management Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, personally presented awards to the winning enterprises.
　　Nearly 200 people attended the conference, including leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, local industry and information technology commissions, quality supervision bureaus, and machinery industry authorities in some provinces and regions, as well as representatives from machinery enterprises and professional associations across the country. At the meeting, the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Machinery Industry Brand Strategy Promotion Committee commended the quality brand products that emerged in brand building and the professional associations that made outstanding contributions to brand promotion. 　　The machinery industry is a pillar industry of the national economy and plays a key role in China's rapid economic development and its march toward the mid-to-high end. The China Machinery Industry Federation, together with 20 professional associations in the machinery industry, jointly established the China Machinery Industry Brand Strategy Promotion Committee, which serves as a leading organization and working platform for advancing the quality and brand strategy of the machinery industry. Since its establishment in 2013, it has improved the management measures for recognizing quality brands in the machinery industry, actively promoted the construction of a management system, participated in the recommendation for the China Quality Award and quality integrity management, and formulated the standard "Brand Value Evaluation - Machinery Equipment Manufacturing Industry."
