On May 11, reporters learned from Lanzhou Guotou Road & Bridge Company that the subgrade works on the east and west sections of the North Ring Road are currently 94% complete, the bridge works 88% complete, and all four tunnels have been fully connected, with the overall project having entered its final sprint phase. It is reported that since construction began in 2010, land acquisition and demolition have remained the primary factor affecting the progress of the North Ring Road project.
　　According to the introduction, as of now, the North Ring Road has completed a cumulative investment of 5.932 billion yuan (2.317 billion yuan in land acquisition and relocation costs, 3.334 billion yuan in construction costs, and 281 million yuan in other costs), accounting for 72.3% of the total investment, with 4.29 billion yuan actually paid out.
　　According to a relevant person in charge at Lanzhou Guotou Road & Bridge Company, since construction began in 2010, land acquisition and demolition have consistently been the primary factor constraining the progress of the North Ring Road project. At present, the demolition issues within the land acquisition and demolition scope of the western line (Anning District) of the North Ring Road—including the Shajingyi Village households, the Xingnong Company family compound, the Public Security Bureau family compound, and the City College—as well as the land acquisition and demolition issues on the eastern line (Chengguan District)—including the Gansu Police Vocational College, the Dashagou gas station, and the Longtou Shanzhuang Ecological Park—are all seriously affecting the construction progress of the east and west lines of the North Ring Road.
