May 7 News: Yesterday, the reporter learned from the Fuzhou municipal urban construction department that at 6 a.m. tomorrow, the south mainline bridge of Baihuting Interchange will officially open to traffic. At that time, vehicles traveling from the South Second Ring Road toward Gushan will no longer have to wait in long queues at the traffic lights at the Fujia Road intersection, and can instead pass quickly via the mainline bridge that crosses over Zexu Avenue.

The south mainline bridge of Baihuting Interchange is 830 meters long and 13.26 meters wide, with 3 lanes, all one-way from the South Second Ring Road toward Gushan. The project manager told the reporter that finishing work such as streetlight installation, traffic line marking, and expansion joint maintenance is currently underway, and the south mainline bridge will open tomorrow.

Pile foundation construction is underway for the north mainline bridge, which also has 3 one-way lanes and is for vehicles traveling from Gushan toward the South Second Ring Road. Due to land acquisition and relocation, the project progress is relatively behind schedule; currently, all areas involved in the project have been demolished. The north mainline bridge is 613.62 meters long and 13.26 meters wide, and is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of August.
