Yesterday, Guangzhou Metro Corporation issued multiple tender announcements for environmental impact assessment studies, investment and financing and policy research, planning project research, and traffic research on underground spaces along metro lines that can be developed in the near term. The study covers 14 areas, including the Guangzhou Railway Station area and the Guangzhou (Huangpu) Lingang Business District.

The reporter learned from the tender announcements that the 14 underground space plots that can be developed in the near term and are included in the tender research cover a land area of 5.53 million square meters, including the Old City Commercial Center, Guangzhou Railway Station area, Guangzhou (Huangpu) Lingang Business District, Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Business District, Olympic Sports Center, northern section of the Central Axis, southern section of the New Urban Central Axis, Baiyun New Town Commercial and Cultural District, Jiahewanggang Public Service Center Area, Bai'etan Modern Commercial District, Luogang Public Service Center Area, Guangzhou International Financial City (special topic reading), Baiyun Lake area, and Huangpu Riverside New Town. The metro corporation hopes to generate revenue through the paid transfer of underground space use rights, raise funds for municipal infrastructure construction, and ease the pressure on government investment.
