On December 18, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council and Serbian Prime Minister Vučić attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Zemun-Borča Bridge project in Belgrade, Serbia, marking the official completion of the first bridge built by China in Europe. During the project construction, dozens of Zoomlion machines, including concrete machinery, crawler cranes, truck cranes, tower cranes and rotary drilling rigs, participated in the bridge construction, demonstrating superior performance and outstanding results.
The main body of the Zemun-Borča Bridge is 1,482 meters long. Located on a key section of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and spanning the Danube River, it is of great strategic significance. Its opening to traffic ended the nearly 70-year history in which Belgrade had only one bridge over the Danube. The project started in 2011. Despite great construction difficulties and a tight schedule, Zoomlion's after-sales service team provided full support throughout the three years, offering a complete service solution. The team not only dispatched professional service engineers and technicians to stay at the site permanently to train operators on operating procedures and handling common problems, but also conducted regular comprehensive inspections and maintenance of construction equipment to ensure stable operation under continuous high-intensity working conditions. At the same time, Zoomlion cooperated with local authorized repair stations in Serbia to ensure highly efficient response for spare parts and services. The overall service quality was unanimously praised by the Serbian government and customers.
