On December 26, the Xijian Brigade of the Langya District Urban Management Enforcement Bureau discovered a dangerous scene while patrolling Chuding Road: a resident surnamed Hu had dug down more than one meter into the foundation of his first-floor home, which was higher than the road surface, creating a basement-level shop directly connected to the street. Currently, the household has been ordered to stop work pending further action.

Investigation revealed that the household, surnamed Hu, lives in a two-story building on the side of Chuding Road and works in car and battery repair. In the past two days, claiming that the height difference between the house and the road greatly affected his repair business, the resident unauthorizedly dug down more than one meter into the foundation of two rooms on the first floor and removed the original fill dirt in front of the door to connect directly to the road, effectively turning it into a basement-level storefront. "This kind of foundation digging is not only very dangerous, but such unauthorized construction is also a violation. We have ordered the person involved to stop work pending further action," said law enforcement officers from the brigade. Next, they will urge the person to actively rectify the situation and complete the necessary procedures to effectively eliminate safety hazards.
