Hong Mingliang, a service engineer at the Taiyuan service center for Lovol rotary drilling rigs, says of himself, "I'm very ordinary," but in the eyes of others, he is anything but ordinary. Customers who have dealt with Hong Mingliang give him a thumbs-up whenever they mention him: "Old Hong is a righteous man, and his skills in repairing rotary drilling rigs are beyond reproach. With Old Hong around, my machine has been much less worrisome."
A Lovol rotary drilling rig under construction
At around 11 p.m. on December 10, Hong Mingliang was getting ready to wash up and go to bed when he received a dispatch call from Lovol Rotary Drilling Rig's 24-hour customer service hotline 400-8292-888. It turned out that the drill pipe of customer Wang Mingchen's Lovol FR615C rotary drilling rig had fallen into the hole during construction, and a Lovol rotary drilling rig service engineer was needed for rescue.
Hong Mingliang quickly dialed customer Wang Mingchen's phone to learn the details of the construction site and the rig's operation—the pile was 50 meters deep, the main winch wire rope had broken, the drill pipe had fallen into the pile, and the pile was continuously collapsing. Hong Mingliang immediately realized the seriousness of the problem, promptly advised the customer to take measures to prevent further collapse, and contacted in advance to prepare tools and auxiliary equipment for fishing out the drill pipe. After hanging up, Hong Mingliang drove the Lovol rotary drilling rig service vehicle and rushed non-stop to the construction site.
The service center was 140 kilometers from the site. On a winter night thick with fog, visibility was very low. Three hours later, Hong Mingliang finally arrived at the site in the service vehicle. In the howling cold wind, Hong Mingliang climbed up and down, and after five hours of overnight struggle, he successfully retrieved the drill pipe. By 10 a.m. the next day, Wang Mingchen's Lovol rotary drilling rig resumed normal construction. Afterwards, Hong Mingliang conducted a comprehensive inspection of the rig and advised the customer and operator on how to better maintain the rotary drilling rig in winter to make the machine's operation more stable.
Seeing his rotary drilling rig running again, Wang Mingchen gripped Hong Mingliang's hand tightly and said excitedly, "With the Spring Festival approaching and the schedule tight, I'm truly grateful! Otherwise, I'm afraid I would have had a hard time this New Year." Hong Mingliang said, "Once you buy a Lovol rotary drilling rig, we're family. You don't need to be so polite; this is my duty."
Over years of service, Hong Mingliang has won unanimous recognition from colleagues and customers with his enthusiasm and sense of responsibility. At the Lovol Rotary Drilling Rig Outstanding Service Team Member Commendation Conference, Hong Mingliang said, "After-sales service is a very important job and a crucial continuation of sales. It can be said that service personnel are the guardians of Lovol rotary drilling rigs, and our responsibility is heavier than Mount Tai." (This article is from Foton Lovol)
