On the afternoon of October 27, Su Qingming, Director of the Standing Committee of the Cangnan County People's Congress, chaired the 60th directors' meeting. The meeting heard the county government's report on the construction of key medical and health projects, the inspection report of the county people's congress standing committee inspection team on the construction of key county projects in 2014, and other reports. Deputy Directors of the Standing Committee Lan Dechao, Wang Zongze, Gao Yanan, Chen Xiaoshen, Wen Xinghua, and Gao Youping attended the meeting, and Deputy County Mayor Lin Xiaotong sat in on the meeting.

It is understood that the County People's Hospital and the County Third Hospital are two key medical and health projects in the county. The relocation project of the County People's Hospital started construction in October 2011 and completed the main structure at the end of 2013. It is currently in the exterior wall and curtain wall construction stage and will soon begin interior decoration. As of now, a total of 350 million yuan has been invested. The relocation project of the County Third Hospital officially started construction in June 2013 and has completed pile foundation work, basement earth excavation, and other construction. It is currently in the above-ground construction stage, with a cumulative investment of 83.79 million yuan to date. At present, construction funding is the biggest problem facing the two major relocation projects.

Su Qingming pointed out that the construction of key medical and health projects is a people's livelihood project that benefits the broad masses of the county and plays an important role in further optimizing the layout of medical and health resources, meeting the people's needs for medical treatment, and promoting the coordinated economic and social development of the county. All localities and departments should unify their thinking, attach great importance, and truly implement and do well the good deeds related to the vital interests of the people. They should increase work efforts, accelerate construction progress, strengthen quality supervision, and strive to build high-quality projects. They should make every effort to solve the problems in project construction and solidly accelerate the advancement of key projects. At the same time, they should encourage and guide medical institutions to become bigger and stronger, so that the people can enjoy multi-level and diversified medical and health services and promote the development of the county's medical undertakings.
