In recent years, with the rapid development of the rural economy, rural road construction has made considerable progress. However, most rural road bridges were built in the 1970s and 1980s. After decades of weathering and years of overloading by heavy vehicles, these bridges have gradually become unable to bear the load, and structural problems have begun to emerge. This year, the Siyang County Transport Bureau has attached great importance to the livelihood project of renovating dangerous bridges. It has carefully planned, meticulously operated, and provided follow-up services to actively advance project construction, consistently treating dangerous bridge renovation as a livelihood project and building "heart-connecting bridges" that benefit the public.
As of now, all 28 dangerous bridge renovation livelihood projects in the county for 2014 have commenced construction. The substructures of 10 bridges, including Nanliuji Jinhua Bridge, Sanzhuang Bitan No. 1 Bridge, Gaodu Kangzhuang Small Bridge, and Peixu Lizhuang Bridge, have been completed and are undergoing curing in preparation for slab and girder installation. Pile foundation construction has been completed for 7 bridges, including Sanzhuang Xingma River Bridge and Luji Wuwa Bridge, and cap beam construction is underway. Old bridge demolition has been completed for 4 bridges, including Zhuangwei Zhuangdong River Bridge and Gaodu Xuzhuang Yinqi River East Bridge, and pile foundation construction is in progress.
