On October 18, the EP1300W variable eccentric moment vibratory hammer, independently developed by Shanghai Zhenzhong, began steel pipe pile driving in the second phase of the 100MW demonstration project at the Rudong offshore wind farm (intertidal zone) in Jiangsu. With a motor power of 960kW, static eccentric moment of 0-1160kg.m, maximum speed of 750r/min, maximum exciting force of 600t, maximum no-load amplitude of 18.2mm, and maximum no-load acceleration of 9.4m, testing and evaluation show that this new product is currently the world's largest electric vibratory hammer.
It is understood that in this project phase, construction is planned for 11 offshore wind turbine generator sets. The wind turbine foundations adopt a five-pile jacket foundation type, with a pile diameter of 1700mm, pile length of 50 meters, pile weight of 49 tons, and a construction period of nearly 2 months.

In offshore wind power construction, the EP1300W variable eccentric moment vibratory hammer achieved an average pile driving speed of 39 minutes and 40 seconds, with verticality controlled at <3‰. The construction contractor stated that this equipment is the largest domestically produced pile driving equipment their technical team has ever used, with the hammer alone weighing nearly 120 tons. Through pile driving operations, the equipment has demonstrated advanced technology, compact structure, stable performance, and high construction efficiency, exceeding their expectations and construction requirements. At this work efficiency, it not only shortens the construction period for a single wind turbine but also saves considerable construction costs, further accelerating the pace of offshore wind power construction and potentially enabling earlier grid connection and power generation.
Through the outstanding performance of both the EP1300W variable eccentric moment vibratory hammer and the DZP500 resonance-free variable frequency vibratory hammer on the same site, Shanghai Zhenzhong has once again demonstrated to the industry its strong technical research and development capabilities, while leading the continuous development of vibratory hammer technology in the industry.
