The Li Ning Sports Park project is a key project in our city, located on the south side of Wenchang East Road and the east side of Shawan Middle Road in Guangling New City. During yesterday's interview, the reporter saw that piling machinery was no longer present; instead, tall construction tower cranes stood on site, their massive arms swinging to lift steel and other building materials. In the southeast direction, two concrete pump trucks were delivering concrete to the construction site.

The reporter learned during the interview that Li Ning Sports Park is bordered by the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal waterfront scenic belt to the west, the ecological water landscape of Liaojia Gully natural scenic belt to the east, the Yangtze River sandbars to the south, and faces Zhuyu Bay Park and Phoenix Island Tourist Area to the north. Situated beside Wenchang Road, it enjoys a superior geographical location with both convenient transportation and high-quality natural resources. Construction personnel told the reporter that Li Ning Sports Park will feature multiple sports venues, along with approximately 500 underground parking spaces and about 80 ground-level ecological parking spaces.

A responsible official introduced that the total construction area of sports facilities at Li Ning Sports Park is approximately 47,000 square meters, including a multi-function hall of about 1,300 square meters, a rhythmic gymnastics hall of about 1,000 square meters, a table tennis hall of about 1,200 square meters, a badminton hall of about 3,000 square meters, a swimming pool of about 3,700 square meters, a children's activity center of about 1,200 square meters, sports training and school facilities of about 10,000 square meters, and other supporting buildings of about 8,600 square meters.

"With Yangzhou Sports Park in the west and Li Ning Sports Park in the east, the completion of Li Ning Sports Park will create an east-west complementary situation, and Yangzhou's sports facilities will be more complete," said a relevant expert.

It is understood that Li Ning Sports Park will fill the gap in sports venues in the eastern district. After completion, it will be open to the public free of charge for one to two months each year, and in the future, it will also host small-scale national sports events from time to time.
