        The Dai County New Town Gymnasium in Shanxi is located on the south side of Dongcheng Street in the new urban area, covering a site area of 3,465.85 square meters with a building area of 9,980.67 square meters. It is a medium-sized Class B gymnasium with three floors above ground and one below, seating 4,267 people. The gymnasium features an innovative design and an elegant, imposing appearance; from a distance it closely resembles Beijing's "Bird's Nest." The indoor arena covers 1,500 square meters, making it a multifunctional comprehensive gymnasium capable of hosting basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and other ball games. With an investment of 71.26 million yuan, the gymnasium broke ground in May last year. The main structure has now been completed, interior and exterior finishing work is proceeding apace, and it is scheduled to be delivered for use by the end of the year, providing a brand-new platform for the development of mass sports in Dai County.
