According to the planning arrangements for railway construction in central and western China, in the first three years of the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the central and western regions completed construction investment of 1.15 trillion yuan and put 7,000 kilometers of new lines into operation, accounting for 72% and 58%, respectively. This year, the proportion of construction investment and new lines put into operation allocated to railways in central and western China has further increased, accounting for 78% and 86% of the national totals, respectively. With the implementation of a large number of railway construction projects, while railways will play a role in promoting the large-scale development of the western region and advancing coordinated regional development, their positive impact on the construction machinery sector is also difficult to estimate.

　　Railways are important national infrastructure and livelihood projects, the main artery of the national economy and a means of mass transportation, and play an important role in national economic and social development. With the needs of economic development in the western region and the improvement of China's railway construction technology, the focus of railway construction has gradually shifted from east to west, and this year nearly 80% of national investment is directed to the central and western regions.
