In 2013, the “Speak and Compare” activity of Taiyuan Heavy Machinery closely grasped the main line of accelerating transformation and development, highlighted the theme of innovation-driven development and improving quality and efficiency. On the basis of adhering to new product trial production, product development, scientific and technological progress, and quality tackling as the main content, it listed the key and difficult work in six major fields—metallurgical machinery, coal and mining machinery, power generation equipment and new energy, engineering machinery and hydraulic products, rail transit equipment, port machinery, and marine engineering—as priorities. In organizing and carrying out the “Speak and Compare” activity, the Science and Technology Association focused on strengthening leadership, making careful arrangements, strict management, standardized operation, continuously expanding content, actively promoting technological innovation, and striving to achieve planned project initiation, targeted tackling of key problems, periodic supervision, inspection during implementation, promotion of methods and experience, and spiritual and material rewards, so that the “Speak and Compare” activity continues to develop in depth.
