Reporters learned yesterday from Bao'an District that the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center has been sited in the northern area of Bao'an Greater Airport, with a core area of approximately 820,000 square meters. Relevant staff of the Bao'an Administration of the Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Land Commission stated that the "Comprehensive Plan for the Greater Airport Area" is still awaiting approval, but the site of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center has already been confirmed by the municipal government.

In the "Comprehensive Plan for the Greater Airport Area," the planned core area of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is approximately 820,000 square meters, with a supporting area of approximately 120,000 square meters and an exhibition building area of 300,000 to 500,000 square meters. According to the plan, the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center will become a comprehensive convention and exhibition complex integrating exhibition, conference, tourism, shopping, and services; the exhibition hall scale will meet 300,000 square meters in the near term and will have the spatial capacity to expand to 500,000 square meters in the future.
