Cummins recently announced multiple senior management changes, appointing a new President and CEO of the company as well as a new President of the Engine Business Unit.

Rich Freeland, President of the Cummins Engine Business Unit, has been promoted to President and CEO, reporting to Chairman and CEO Tom Linebarger. He will focus on overseeing Cummins' day-to-day business operations and ensuring the company achieves its financial, customer service and profitability goals. Rich Freeland joined Cummins as early as 1979 and began leading the Cummins Engine Business Unit in 2010, during which time he successfully grew the unit's revenue from $6.4 billion that year to more than $10 billion. Succeeding Rich Freeland as President of the Engine Business Unit is Dave Crompton, who most recently was responsible for the heavy-duty and light-duty engine market segments within the unit. In that role, Dave Crompton successfully integrated the Cummins heavy-, mid- and light-duty engine businesses seamlessly into one global organization, and through strong execution led the business to achieve robust operating efficiency, cost reduction and financial performance.
