On July 15, a technical achievement by the Construction and Decoration Company under China Construction Seventh Engineering Division Corp. Ltd., "A Practical Lighting Lamp Stand," was granted a national utility model patent.

The achievement is welded from commonly used KBG conduit and steel rebar, stands 1.8 m high, and comprises a threading column, support claws at the end of the threading column, and a mounting top plate at the top of the threading column. The threading column is a hollow tube; the center of the mounting top plate is provided with a wire passage hole corresponding to the lumen of the threading column; and the wall of the threading column is provided with an upper wire-winding clip and a lower wire-winding clip arranged vertically opposite each other. The luminaire can be fixed on the lamp stand, and the wires pass through the KBG steel conduit. The lamp stand is low in cost, easy to fabricate, and easy to popularize. It effectively solves the problem of luminaires and wires being placed randomly and greatly improves safe electricity use on construction sites.
