According to data records, the U.S. remanufacturing industry output in 2010 exceeded US$75 billion, accounting for about 75% of the global remanufacturing industry output value, with as many as 58,000 remanufacturing enterprises. Statistics show that 70% to 80% of maintenance spare parts in the U.S. come from remanufactured products.

China's annual remanufacturing output value reached 74 billion yuan in 2010, and the market size is expected to reach 192 billion yuan by 2015. There are 77 remanufacturing pilot enterprises; automobile production and sales will reach 22 million units, and demand for parts will reach 510 billion yuan, of which the remanufactured parts market accounts for only 5%. The保有量 (installed base) of major construction machinery equipment in China is about 5.61 million to 6.08 million units; according to the equipment life cycle, 80% of construction machinery has reached the overhaul period. The machine tool installed base is nearly 8 million units, with machine tools over 10 years old accounting for more than 60%, and in the next 5 to 10 years they will all face overhaul and upgrading or even functional scrapping or technical obsolescence…

The above data show that China has entered the peak period of mechanical equipment scrapping, and remanufacturing is imperative!
