On June 28, following the first batch of 26 and the second batch of 21 key projects, Puyang County, after careful preparation, held the scheduled groundbreaking ceremony for the third batch of 11 key projects in 2014. County Party Secretary Zhang Hongyi, County People's Congress Director Wang Zhiming, County CPPCC Chairman Yang Liyue, Standing Committee Member of the County Party Committee and Executive Deputy County Governor Mei Hongtao, Standing Committee Member of the County Party Committee and Office Director Guo Qingyuan, and other leaders attended the ceremony.

Since the beginning of this year, Puyang County has taken key project construction as a key focus, pooling the wisdom and strength of the entire county, carrying out all-staff investment promotion, and working vigorously and swiftly to bring a large number of projects to the ground and start construction. In the first half of 2014, a total of 58 key projects were started in three batches, with a total investment of 20.44 billion yuan, covering multiple fields such as industry, agriculture, urban construction, and the service sector. Among the projects started this time, the Rongshida Digital Culture Plaza construction project has a total investment of 600 million yuan and a total construction area of 45,000 square meters; it will be built into a modern comprehensive large-scale commercial area integrating a home appliance exhibition center, shopping mall, e-commerce center, and more. The Wuzhou International Expo City project has a total investment of 4 billion yuan, covers about 1,200 mu, and has a construction area of about 2 million square meters; it will mainly build an industrial products expo and trading base integrating a spot trading center, international expo center, food and leisure entertainment center, business office center, industrial expo center, and more. The Huiyuan Puyang one-million mutton sheep breeding base project has a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan; it will mainly plant 160,000-180,000 mu of grassland, plant 1 million Chinese honey locust trees, and raise 1 million mutton sheep, and will also build standard pens, electronic fencing, a 10,000-ton cold storage and slaughtering production line, ten 10,000-ton silage cellars, manure treatment facilities, and an organic fertilizer production line, among others.
