From small home appliances to large-scale air pollution control, the 8th China Beijing International Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Exhibition, while comprehensively showcasing new energy-saving and environmental protection technologies, is also quietly influencing people's energy-saving and environmental protection behavior. Yesterday afternoon, Guo Jinlong, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Xie Zhenhua, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission; Wang Anshun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; and Ji Lin, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, visited the exhibition.

The clean air theme was particularly prominent at the exhibition. At each exhibition area and each company, Guo Jinlong stopped to watch, learn details, and engage in in-depth exchanges with relevant personnel to discuss future technology development paths. The world's first integrated technology for denitrification of natural gas boilers and deep utilization of flue gas condensation waste heat and water achieves energy savings of up to 20% and a denitrification rate of over 50%; professional waste electrical and electronic equipment processing technology can save 9.19 tons of ore and reduce wastewater discharge by 16.32 tons for every ton of televisions dismantled; the original geothermal non-combustion heating system uses only a small amount of paid electrical energy to extract large amounts of free geothermal energy from soil and gravel to heat buildings, and can be used cyclically. A series of new technologies have enabled efficient and cyclic utilization of limited energy resources.

New energy-saving and environmental protection technologies have also brought new opportunities for improving the level of refined urban management. New products for controlling dust, sludge, and other "accomplices" of smog have been unveiled one after another. The road dust suppressant, which has been included in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei air pollution control list, can not only reduce road dust accumulation by 30%, but also reduce annual water consumption by 40,000 tons per 1 million square meters. The advanced municipal sludge drying and incineration system can achieve sludge reduction, harmlessness, and resource utilization. The on-off time and area method heating metering system can intuitively display the costs saved by users. These new products closely integrate urban management with serving people's livelihoods. Guo Jinlong focused on asking about the performance and cost of the new products and instructed relevant officials that pilot programs could be studied on key road sections and in key areas.

This exhibition comprehensively showcases the achievements in energy conservation and emission reduction of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and surrounding areas, and while strengthening ties with other provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, it also set up a special international exhibition area, with 40 companies from the United States, Germany, and other countries actively participating. Finland brought brand-new indoor air cleaning technology; Sweden showcased complete technological solutions for air, sewage, waste, and energy. Guo Jinlong welcomed the senior representative from Sweden in charge of environmental protection work to the exhibition and exchanged views with him on environmental governance work.
