On June 10, 2014, Lei Shing Hong Machinery and Caterpillar Global Mining signed an agreement: effective immediately, Caterpillar Global Mining officially authorizes Lei Shing Hong Machinery to take over the distribution and support business for former Bucyrus products in its region. The region includes Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.

As the first Caterpillar dealer in China, Lei Shing Hong Machinery has always been committed to providing comprehensive solutions for Caterpillar users. With the addition of the former Bucyrus business, we are more confident and capable of helping our mining customers achieve optimal productivity while minimizing procurement and operating costs.”

After taking over the distribution and support business for former Bucyrus products, Lei Shing Hong Machinery will not only provide Caterpillar's traditional mining equipment and services to mining users in its region, but will also add sales and service for former Bucyrus surface and underground equipment. The Caterpillar mining product line includes electric shovels, hydraulic excavators, draglines, combined endwall mining systems, surface and underground drills, room-and-pillar equipment, and longwall mining equipment. Caterpillar MT series mining trucks imported into China will also be distributed by Lei Shing Hong Machinery. Unit Rig products and belt conveyors manufactured by Chinese joint ventures will not be included, nor will hydraulic supports produced by Caterpillar (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. be included in the transferred business.
