It is currently the domestic largest tonnage continuous wall hydraulic grab and also the domestic continuous wall product with the deepest hole forming.

The product's main technical parameters are leading in China, and its configuration, working performance, construction efficiency, structural strength, safety protection, and overall appearance quality have been comprehensively upgraded based on the original products. The product has a maximum trenching depth of 105 meters and a maximum trenching thickness of 1.5 meters. It is widely used in foundation pit enclosure, dam seepage prevention, dock cofferdam, rail transit, urban infrastructure construction and other construction fields; it is especially suitable for construction conditions with a thickness of 1.2 to 1.5 meters, high verticality requirements, ultra-deep strata and hard ground.

In recent years, with the gradual maturity of domestic continuous wall construction technology, the demand for continuous wall hydraulic grabs has also grown increasingly strong, especially the demand for large-tonnage continuous wall hydraulic grabs, which accounts for more than 70% of the total market demand. Following the widespread attention received by the batch sale of eight XCMG roadheaders to Yunnan, at the beginning of the new year, XCMG roadheaders have again brought good news: XCMG's first largest model roadheader EBZ320 broke ground at a mountain-crossing tunnel project in Dalian urban area, adding another significant chapter to tunnel construction.

XCMG EBZ320 is a heavy-duty full-rock cantilever roadheader suitable for full-rock roadway construction in coal mines and tunnel excavation. It is mainly developed for large roadways, hard rock construction and tunnel excavation, focusing on the reliability, safety and ease of assembly and disassembly of the whole machine. It is equipped with safety protection functions such as remote control and cutting mechanism anti-collision monitoring, improving the intelligent control level of the whole machine. At the groundbreaking ceremony of the mountain-crossing tunnel project, the XCMG EBZ320 machine won widespread praise for its good stability, safety and reliability, and strong rock-breaking ability.

This large roadheader of XCMG Foundation is based on the design experience accumulated in the field of foundation engineering machinery, and is a breakthrough achievement in improving and upgrading traditional coal machinery products in terms of hydraulic transmission, cutting head layout, and whole-machine vibration reduction. From independent research and development and difficult beginnings to comprehensive coverage of markets in the south, East China, North China and Northwest China, XCMG Foundation has become the leader guiding the piling industry into a new era of large tonnage.

Seizing opportunities: precise positioning, catching up from behind

Early rotary drilling rigs were mainly used for drilling in relatively soft soil layers and were powerless for complex strata such as rock. Before 2010, the main market for rotary drilling rigs was in the Northeast. However, in Southwest regions such as Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, the strata are complex, especially with many bedrock layers, and these had long been blank markets for rotary drilling rigs. In 2011, under the difficult background of the overall decline of the construction machinery industry, high-speed rail slowdown, real estate regulation, and tightening credit, XCMG Foundation determined the marketing strategy of "seeking volume in emerging markets, seeking advancement in traditional markets, and seeking planning in blank markets," and took the complex strata of the Southwest as a market breakthrough. Through in-depth market research, the marketing focus was placed on the housing construction pile market in the Southwest. With precise positioning and high cost-effectiveness of products, together with the marketing strategy of "promoting sales through construction methods," communicating with users on how to select models and configure drilling tools, and helping customers solve construction difficulties, XCMG rotary drilling rigs quickly emerged and were well received by users, attracting more and more major housing construction pile customers. Cross-boundary innovation: product combination, construction method promotion

Market development is not limited to strata and regions, but is also reflected in "cross-boundary innovation." The research on the brine extraction process by foundation engineering machinery groups in the Qarhan Salt Lake area of Qinghai is definitely a milestone in the development history of XCMG Foundation, and is one of the most typical major battles of XCMG's strategy of promoting sales through construction methods. Qinghai Province in China is rich in potash resources, which are stored in underground brine. In recent years, with the increase in market demand for resource extraction, higher requirements have been placed on the speed of excavating brine channels to extract brine. Traditional channel excavation technology mainly uses excavators, but for construction requirements of more than 30 meters deep, excavators can only use "stepped" layer-by-layer deepening excavation technology, which involves huge excavation workload and low construction efficiency. XCMG Foundation keenly perceived the importance of this project and the market opportunities behind it, and boldly proposed the "combined construction" method, exploring a construction technology of using rotary drilling rigs together with continuous wall grabs for group brine channel excavation, that is, using rotary drilling rigs to drill spaced holes, then using continuous wall grabs to cut off the edges between holes, ultimately achieving the connection of the brine channel. The implementation of this technology expanded the application field of XCMG rotary drilling rigs, achieved brilliant results of channel width 1.8 meters, channel depth 30-40 meters, and length 40 kilometers, and sold 6 XCMG XR360 rotary drilling rigs and other products in one go. It also innovatively eliminated the traditional salt mine brine extraction process, multiplied efficiency, and ensured the efficient extraction of national strategic resources.

Standing out: overcoming difficulties, continuous improvement

In June 2010, XCMG's first XR360 rotary drilling rig was sent to the Henan Taohuayu bridge construction site on the Xixia Expressway section. Challenges followed one after another in the first battle: the winch had rope biting problems and the overall stability was not strong. XCMG Foundation creatively solved a number of key technologies: adopting a single-row rope main winch structure, optimizing the luffing mechanism, adopting the form where the boom and three-point hinge point and the lower hinge point of the tilt cylinder are coaxial, increasing the tilt cylinder force arm and improving the lifting performance of the mast state, and setting a new record for domestic drilling rig construction at that time with a hole diameter of 2 meters and a depth of more than 105 meters.

Based on this XR360, XCMG Foundation launched new products such as XRS670, XRS680, XRS1050, XR280D, and XR220D that year, and began research and development of the D series products. After completing the research and development of the full series of XCMG "new D series rotary drilling rigs," they were successfully launched on the market, consolidating XCMG's firm position in the industry for large-tonnage rotary drilling rigs. In 2011, it successfully developed Asia's largest tonnage self-made chassis rotary drilling rig - XR460, solving several major problems of current rotary drilling rigs in hard rock drilling, such as relying on grinding for footage, high consumption of cutting picks, low work efficiency, and poor economic benefits, with advanced and reliable technology. At present, the company is carrying out product research and development standardization work to improve the level of "three transformations" of standardization, generalization and modularization.
