    Exhibition Description

    Due to its unique structural form, steel structure buildings, compared with reinforced concrete structures, have advantages such as light weight, easy installation, short construction period, good seismic performance, less environmental pollution, and reusability, and are widely used in high-rise buildings, factories, stadiums, airports, offshore platforms, and other fields. Especially in recent years, with the successful hosting of the Beijing Olympics, a large number of world-renowned building steel structure projects such as the “Water Cube”, “Bird's Nest”, National Centre for the Performing Arts, and CCTV New Site have increasingly highlighted the green and low-carbon characteristics of steel structure buildings, which will surely lead the architectural direction of “creating green city life”. Construction steel is one of the important materials to ensure the quality and safety of building engineering structures. Especially after the World Expo, the Expo projects, as models of energy-saving technology in China's public buildings, have been effective in solving worldwide challenges such as energy saving, environmental protection, and emission reduction, marking that China has reached international advanced levels in the integration of green and low-carbon building technologies.
