Recently, SDR series rotary drilling rigs manufactured by SCMC have delivered high-quality construction in Shenzhen's metro development, generating benefits for users and contributing to the construction of the Special Economic Zone.

    At the construction site of Shenzhen Metro Line 9, located at the intersection of Qiaocheng East Road and Baishi Road in Futian District, Shenzhen, there is a large construction progress evaluation board. The project department compiles and evaluates the completion status of each sub-item over each period. Shandong Dongming Company, which operates three SCMC SDR series rotary drilling rigs at the site, ranked first, and its construction quality and progress were unanimously affirmed by the project department. Section 9105 of Shenzhen Metro Line 9 is a BT project (in which the investor is responsible for financing and construction of the project and, within a specified time limit, transfers the completed project to the project sponsor; the project sponsor pays the investor the total project investment and an agreed return in installments according to a pre-signed repurchase agreement). Every aspect of construction quality and progress affects the actual returns of the investing unit, so investors impose particularly high requirements on the equipment and personnel of participating construction units. This section is scheduled for half a year and requires the completion of more than 1,000 pile foundations in total. The schedule is tight, the task is heavy, and the strata are difficult. The two SDR280 rotary drilling rigs and one SDR220 rotary drilling rig manufactured by SCMC and owned by Dongming Company demonstrated strong rock-embedding capability, fast operation speed, stable quality, reliable performance, and enthusiastic and timely after-sales service throughout the construction process. The operators were skilled and hardworking. Together with the workers and masters across the construction site, they braved high temperatures, fought the summer heat, and battled rainy days through a hard-fought campaign without smoke, completing all pile foundation construction tasks arranged by the project department in an orderly manner and earning full recognition from the construction unit.

    In addition, an SDR220 rotary drilling rig produced by SCMC also completed a small workload of 9 piles with high quality and high speed in the construction of the Xiangmihu Station project on Shenzhen Metro Line 11.

    Metro Line 9 is the most difficult project in Phase III of Shenzhen's rail transit construction. Once completed, it will be of great significance to realizing the spatial development strategy of "north-south connectivity, eastward expansion and westward linkage, central reinforcement, and two-wing extension" and the urban spatial layout of "three axes, two belts, and multiple centers." The line has a total length of 25.38 kilometers, with a project investment of 12.3 billion yuan, and is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2016.
