At 9:00 a.m. on February 20, the district-wide work safety conference was held on schedule in the multi-function hall of Jinshatan Hotel. The conference read out the Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone Work Safety Committee's "Notice on Commending Advanced Collectives and Advanced Individuals in Work Safety in the District for 2013." Doosan Infracore (China) Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of Advanced Collective in Work Safety in the District for 2013, and Deputy Department Head Xing Dufa was awarded the title of Advanced Individual in Work Safety in the District for 2013.

 

　　At the meeting, Deputy Director Yu Shaoxuan, on behalf of the Administrative Committee, signed the "2014 Yantai Development Zone Work Safety Target Management Responsibility Statement" with representatives of district departments, units and enterprises, and put forward the overall requirements for work safety in 2014, namely fully implementing the work safety responsibility system, carrying out in depth major safety inspections, the "crackdown on illegal acts and violations" and special campaigns for hazard identification and governance, and continuously improving and consolidating the results achieved in work safety.

 

　　In 2013, Doosan Infracore steadily advanced its work safety efforts with notable results. It passed the re-evaluation and acceptance review for National Level 1 Work Safety Standardization Enterprise with a high score of 958 points, successfully passed the DSRS review and exceeded expected levels, and throughout the year introduced the Safety Improvement Committee, the foreman safety observation method, self-management of EHS factors, the "I Serve as a Safety Officer for a Day" activity and process safety observation activities. It comprehensively carried out EHS risk identification activities in work teams, and continuously conducted no-disaster activities, team EHS self-improvement activities, near-miss identification activities, emergency drill activities and more throughout the year, actively creating and consolidating a culture of autonomous EHS management among on-site managers.

 

　　Doosan Infracore's work safety plan for 2014 has been clearly defined. The next step is to promptly complete the signing of responsibility statements and promote the implementation of EHS work at every level. At present, the fatal accident prevention activity instructed by senior management is in full swing. With the full support of senior management and all departments and the joint efforts of on-site team employees, the company's EHS management level continues to improve and is gradually being deepened—"no disasters, prevent accidents, ensure safety, promote production."
