Rail transit Line R project, Jinan Railway Station North Yard Station Front Area Complex Project... Jinan has included projects that meet the conditions for starting construction this year in the 2014 list of key municipal projects. Among these 220 key projects, 92 are newly started projects. It is understood that Rail Transit Line R1 is planned to start construction in March this year, and Jinan plans to allocate 1.23 billion yuan this year for the construction of Line R1. The Second Ring Road South Construction Project (eastern section) is planned to start in April this year, and the Jinan-Dongying Expressway is planned to start in June.

 

   What kind of projects can become municipal-level key projects? The answer to this question was revealed at a recent press conference. “Projects with a relatively large annual investment scale, an important driving role in the city's construction and development, basically secured construction conditions, and capable of starting construction this year have been included in the city's key projects.” When introducing the key projects, press spokesperson Li Benhai said that while determining the key projects, Jinan also considered the continuity of project construction and arranged some key preliminary projects around enhancing investment momentum.

 

   It is understood that in 2014 the city arranged a total of 220 municipal-level key projects, with a total investment of 471.7 billion yuan, an increase of 124.8 billion yuan over 2013, or 36%; and arranged 63 key preparatory projects, with a total investment of 175.4 billion yuan. Among these 220 key projects, 128 are continued projects, with an annual planned investment of 61.2 billion yuan; and 92 are newly started projects, with an annual planned investment of 43.1 billion yuan. In addition, Jinan also arranged 63 key preparatory projects, with a total investment of 175.4 billion yuan.

 

   The above-mentioned municipal-level key projects are mainly divided into two major categories: the real economy and urban construction management. Among them, there are 136 real economy projects, with a total investment of 214 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 53.8 billion yuan. Although there are only 84 urban construction management projects, their total investment reaches 257.7 billion yuan, with an annual planned investment of 50.5 billion yuan.

 

   Among the urban construction management projects, there is no shortage of projects widely followed by citizens, such as the rail transit Line R and the Jinan Railway Station North Yard Station Front Area Complex. According to relevant sources, Rail Transit Line R1 is planned to start construction in March this year, and Jinan plans to allocate 1.23 billion yuan this year for the construction of Line R1. In addition, the Shunhe Elevated Road South Extension Road Construction Project and the Second Ring Road South Construction Project (eastern section) are planned to start in April this year, the Changqing Yellow River Bridge is planned to start in May this year, and the Jinan-Dongying Expressway is planned to start in June.

 

   In terms of people's livelihood, this year Jinan has focused on arranging 18 livelihood security projects, including the Third Resettlement Area in the West Passenger Station area and the Huashan area demolition and resettlement housing construction project, with a planned investment of 8.3 billion yuan in 2014. In addition, the city has also arranged 63 key preparatory projects, with a total investment of 175.4 billion yuan, including 45 real economy projects such as the Indonesia Mayda Food Project, with a total investment of 88.9 billion yuan; and 18 urban construction projects such as the Shijiazhuang-Jinan Passenger Dedicated Line Jinan West Connecting Line Project, with a total investment of 86.5 billion yuan.
