It is reported that leaders and experts attending the meeting included Chen Shuhong, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and president of the Hunan Human Resources Management Association; Huang Jianbai, executive vice president of Central South University and dean and professor/doctoral supervisor of the Business School, and advisor to the Hunan Human Resources Management Association; Zhang Jinhai, deputy secretary-general of the China International Cultural Communication Center and secretary-general of its Hunan Liaison Department; He Xuedong, chairman of the Golden Coast Group, and others.

　　At the beginning of the meeting, Li Keming, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the Management Committee of the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, delivered the opening remarks. “In 2013, various service activities were carried out in an orderly manner, organizational development was improved, and academic research was deepened. The association's achievements have been applied in many enterprises and institutions, making major contributions to the social and economic development of our province. I hope that in 2014 the association will continue to leverage its academic platform and academic resource advantages, improve service levels, and contribute to the economic development of our province.” Peng Chonggu, member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the Hunan Human Resources Management Association, summarized the 2013 work in three aspects—academics, organizational development, and service activities—and proposed the 2014 work plan.

　　The academic seminar of the conference focused closely on the theme of “international high-end talent in the development zone” and invited Mr. Zhao Shuming, honorary dean of the Business School of Nanjing University and chairman of the Asia-Pacific Human Resources Research Association, and Mr. Mai Tianci, president of Zhibian Business Consulting Company, to deliver keynote reports. The experts and scholars discussed, shared, and exchanged views with all attendees on how to cultivate talent, strategies for attracting talent, and the current state of human resources development in the development zone.

　　Finally, enterprises such as Zoomlion, GAC Fiat Automobiles, Sunward Intelligent Equipment Group, and Dahan Holding won the title of “2013 Outstanding Human Resources Management Enterprise.” The conference also awarded honorary certificates and commended outstanding human resources management professionals and authors of outstanding papers.
