In 2011, the Changsha County government introduced the "Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Scientific and Technological Achievement Transfer Award" to honor citizens and organizations that have made creative contributions in industry-university-research cooperation and in the promotion and application of advanced scientific and technological achievements, played a prominent demonstrative and guiding role, and achieved significant economic or social benefits. For many years, while independently tackling key technologies for large engineering cranes, the Engineering Crane Company has actively carried out industry-university-research cooperative research on a number of common technical challenges, establishing cooperative relationships with several leading domestic universities and research institutes in the field of mobile crane research, including Jilin University, Zhejiang University, Dalian University of Technology, and Hunan University. Cooperative research projects such as "Development of Parametric Modeling Software for Structural Analysis of Series Cranes," "Development of Hydro-Pneumatic Suspension and Electro-Hydraulic Servo Steering Systems for All-Terrain Cranes," and "Development of General-Purpose Calculation Software for Superlift Devices of Large-Tonnage All-Terrain Cranes" achieved breakthrough results and have been successively applied to QAY350 and above large-tonnage and super-large-tonnage all-terrain crane products, significantly improving the products' overall technical level and market competitiveness. According to statistics, as of the end of November 2013, the branch's QAY350 and above large all-terrain crane products had achieved an output value of nearly 1.1 billion yuan and realized taxes and profits of approximately 453.57 million yuan, creating good economic and social benefits.
